Yangon, Yangon Division, Myanmar - Oct 1988.
Min Ko Naing ('Conqueror of Kings') and Chairman of the All Burma
Federation of Student Unions, which was formed in late August 1988. Min
Ko Naing's real name is Paw U Tun and he is a third year zoology student
at Rangoon University. He was the most important student figure in the 8
August - 18 September 1988 pro-democracy uprising in Burma (now
officially Myanmar). He stayed on in Rangoon after the bloody
suppression of demonstrations by the military, and was arrested on 24
March 1989. Sentenced initially to twenty years of imprisonment, his
term was later commuted to ten years. He was not, however, released in
1999, and is today [mid 2003] one of the world's longest serving
prisoners of conscience. He is believed to have been tortured and held
in solitary confinement. He is currently imprisoned in Sittwe (or
Sittway) in Rakhine State which makes it hard for family members to
visit. This photograph was taken at a secret rendezvous in Rangoon on
the understanding that pictures of him unmasked would only be printed in
the event of his arrest. In his hand is a list of the student demands.

You are the greatest !!
Great Salute and Great Proud of all of you.
Your Activity and Courage are the most remarkable in Burmese History.
Since 1962 you are fighting for Democracy for 50 years, especially in 1988.
…………………..
When fighting for Burma Independent, “Burmese soldiers were fighting against to British and Japanese” is GUN TO GUN FIGHT far away each other 50 to 100 meter apart.
From 1962 to 2011, fighting for Democracy against to Military Gangster is the MOST PARTICULAR IN BURMESE HISTORY.
Because……….
Without a piece of needle you are fighting against military gangsters who are fully equipped with multiple thousands of guns. (apart from each other 20 to 30 meter only.)
That why you are the Greatest and the most particular in Burmese History.
Burmese Human Beings
Can you kindly interpret what you meant in simple English?
ဒါမွမဟုတ္လဲ ျမန္မာလို ရွင္းရွင္းဘာသာျပန္ေပးပါခင္ဗ်ာ။
