Our mission is “to help people, to help Burma”.  We believe that people in Burma are and should be the drivers of development for their communities and their country. To this end, our strategy is we will build a bridge the gap between local leaders and global resources. We believe our volunteer efforts and the value of training to the under-resourced leaders will promote peace and developments in Burma.

Who We Are:

We are former 8.8.88 activists and founded this forum to promote responsible foreign investment, empower small and mid-size business and help build a business culture based on transparency.

IFPAD is an independent and non-profit provider of consulting and training services supported with software solutions to corporate decision makers in Burma.

IFPAD has many volunteers, staffs and professionals who have years of experience in advising multinational corporations and small and medium sized enterprises in their international investment, location strategy decisions as well as supply chain optimization strategies.

Our Approach:

We fully understand the relationship between corporate strategy, supply chain management and foreign investment. This results in considerable cost savings, while maintaining or increasing customer service levels.
IFPAD will produce a considerable amount of analytical work addressing the issue of incentives for foreign direct investment in Burma. That will include providing the reports, papers and finding on the International Trade and Core Labor Standards, Environmental Issues in Policy-Based Competition for Investment, and the Harmful Impacts of Incentives Used to Attract Foreign Direct Investment.

IFPAD will mainly focus on the FDI attraction services which include organizational review and development, strategy building, promotion and lead Generation, and Investor servicing and aftercare by engaging with all key stake holders.

IFPAD will also provide a number of educational programs, training workshops, seminars, economic forums on the implementation and enforcement of Good Automated Manufacturing Practices.  As a result, GAMP will cover Lean Manufacturing Concepts, Standard Operating Procedures, all aspects of production; from the raw materials, facility and equipment to the training and hygiene of staff. Standard operating procedures (SOPs) are essential for processes that can affect the quality of the finished product.

In doing so, IFPAD will indentify the key obstacles, and lay out organizational best practices, and share our finding, and recommendation  to the investors and business leaders who are those needed. IFPAD will work with closer collaborative links between business leaders and investors at regional and global as well.
