Absolutely right Ko Moe Thee. However, in our Burmese society,fathers, elderly, seniors are always right attitude is deep rooted for centuries by culture and religion. If you don't agree with me you are enemy attitude is also practised within many political or non political groups in our society. Both of us have the opportunity to live in democratic countries to learn and understand this value but people inside the country are cut off from the rest of the world and need a long way to
go. We will try our best.

The attitude of Myanmar society may have received a lot of impact from the economical and the political situation.
As Mg Win said, Myanmar society is still following the traditional respect to older people in hierarchy institutions. Unfortunately, those hierarchical institutionalized attitudes is misused by the people who have legitimate power. It may be very hard to get out of such situation thus people will continue to suffer unless some dramatic incident carry out by someone or an organization.
Definitely Ko Moethee. U are right. We are just trying for the initial transition of democratization. After the fall of the regime, we all have to go through the second transition of democratic consolidation. It will succeed if we can promote prferences and practices compatible with the democratic functioning and increase the actors who commite to democracy. Otherwise, democratic revolution will never be completed. We all need to practise the democratic values from our soul.
