Spain dominate Germany to win Euro 2008
Spain broke a 44-year drought by defeating three-time champion Germany 1-0 - a match dominated by Spanish speed and class.
Torres scored the only goal of the game, in the 33rd minute, as Spain ended 44 years of hurt to lift the second trophy in their country's history.
Torres said: "This is my first title and I hope it's the first of many.
"We are used to watching finals on television but today we were here and we won.
"This is good, not just for Spain, but for football because the best team won and this is not always the case.
