Playing Game Time again for Burmese generals

Read the following headlines.

"Hopes for Myanmar cyclone aid rise as ASEAN meets"

"U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon will travel to Myanmar this week to apply pressure on the country's military rulers to open more channels for help."

"UN's top disaster official arrives in Myanmar"

"UN chief to visit cyclone-devastated Myanmar"

"MPs encouraged by Myanmar moves on outside help"

Sounds good and encouraging, right?

This is game time again for Burmese generals. We have seen a similar tune in September Saffron revolution. Oh ! yes! UN/ASEAN envoy is coming! Generals are going to have a genuine dialogue and initiate the process of national reconciliation. We all know what happened in the end.

In september, a couple thousands were thrown into jails while UN "tried its best". This time, thousands of cyclone victims including malnourished children and old people will die while generals play the waiting game and UN/ASEAN plays along.

Of course we already knew that Burmese generals will throw a few bones at the UN secretay general and show their enthusiasm for MORE meetings.

This time, UN will have blood of innocent children on its hand if they dance to the tune of Burmese generals.

The only solution to safe those children while they are still alive is to go in NOW without waiting for permission from the regime.

We do not have much hope that US will go in or act alone. Can we get help from French? We surely hope so.

French, please come and save our children. We will be eternally grateful to you.

Burmese cyclone victims.
